Photo: 36/365: Thrift Store Weirdness

For years, I've loved shopping in thrift stores. LOVE it. I'm fortunate enough to have a great place very close to my daily travels, so I pop in on a fairly regular basis. Sometimes I can find something amazing, a great tshirt, or a vintage pair of Levi's. But more often than not, I'll find nothing. That's the way the game is played. You don't catch a fish every time you cast a line.

I like to imagine what an object's story was. What was it used for? Was it loved? Scorned? How did it end up here?

And every once in a while, I'll find something so bizarre that it really sets my mind spinning.

Case in point:

Your guess is as good as mine, people. A sticker on the bottom states that it is a sample from a Chinese factory, and that minimum orders are 2 pieces. This does not appear to be altered, as was my initial thought; Some art school kid thought this would sufficiently blow someone's mind (mission accomplished, btw). This appears to be an article genuine in nature. Little Johnny Plastic Hands, the kid with the sense of Humor.

Unfortunately, the store has a strict policy of not selling items without a tag on them, and LJPH had no such tag. Because if he did, I would now be the proud owner of this bit of plastic weirness.
