I always try to find time to make Mark Bittman's Recipes from his Minimalist Column. We recently bought some silicon muffin tray's at an outlet, and this gave me the perfect excuse to go back and make Mark's super simple Popovers from Thanksgiving time.
I grew up eating my mom's popovers, we ate them with raspberry preserves, she had a special "deep dish" style muffin tray specially for them. This version is more of a savory side to a dish, with the salt and thyme. The tasted great, BTW.
